and then Winter came...

An average morning temperature of negative six is now welcoming us each morning.  I am adjusting, lets put it that way.  I still have all of my fingers and toes too.  Just last week we were having highs of 60 degrees in the afternoon.  We are now down to about 20 something in the afternoon. Luckily, the sun shines most days and we are staying warm while we work with the additional solar energy.

View from the North end of the Valley on the ninth.  No snow to be seen, but plenty of wind and cool air.
Now, only 50 some miles away, a winter paradise has been born. Roughly three to four inches fell on the ninth.
 Professional snow removers.
All the cows have rings of white around their noses.
Graze-line.  The cows melt the snow with their noses.  If we let them free range, the ground would freeze over making it impossible for them to get to the grass later on.
Aw, Winter.  Looking forward to a trip back to Virginia and the humid and warm winter they're experiencing soon.
