Sunrise

Sunrise
sets things anew

shrug off yesterday's woes
and find your feet
and walk,

walk on.

It comes up
                  and heads
                                 back down
                   within a rough
twelve hour period

It sets,
to shine somewhere else

refresh and relax your body
as the sun warms another part of the world.

The sky this morning was a mixture of reds and purples and maybe whispers of a sailor's warning too.
The sun is now well above the Sangres and is quite blinding.  Some cirrus clouds float high above the 14,000 foot peaks and stretch west across the valley.  I'm looking forward to today.  I have quite a long list of tasks to accomplish, but the day is starting off well.  The weather is warming up, but I'm not sure it will last.  March is a fickle month, almost anywhere.  The cow herd is pacing their line hoping I'll get my butt out the door and feed them.  I've been appreciating day-light-savings this year because the cows do not know anything about it.  Eight in the morning is still seven to them.  Though, the time change has been hard on me because suddenly my typical 6-6:30 wake ups, which occur naturally at this point, is more like 7-7:30 AM....???? time is lost.  So I'm recalibrating my wake up time for something that feels like 5-5:30 AM.  It'll soon feel normal again I hope.

Alright out the door I go.

Some good ol' cows

Not this morning's sunrise, but close...imagine deeper reds and purples
