The windrower repair and new well installation have been completed. These two projects have been keeping us busy and in between lots of cattle work. Last week we moved our yearling herd to a new property. Six trailer loads later the herd was weighed and moved successfully. The herd is on clean up duty (after a haying operation) which will keep them fairly busy for a while. I have been working hard on a second quarter summary for the Quivira Coalition who sponsors my apprenticeship. I'll post that once it has gone through its final draft. In all I'm finding some time to play guitar, read about young agrarianism, dwell on what is next, and enjoy the beautiful sunsets that are gracing these mountains. Fall is truly in the air now. The aspens are creating streaks of yellow and orange above the conifer line. The early morning temperature is dipping in to the low 40s and brimming ever closer to freezing...

Putting the wheels back on! George had to weld a piece of the frame back together.
