The past couple days have been filled with newborn calves, a few angry mommas, traveling back and forth from town south of here to sort and vaccinate heifers, and much more.

On Wednesday we vaccinated our yearling heifers with the Bang's vaccination.  Apparently we vaccinate because of the possible of threat of brucellosis entering the state.  Brucellosis causes abortion in cattle and is known as undulant fever in humans.

We've also been working on grazing planning for a new piece of property we are about to start managing.  This property is under a conservation easement, and we are helping to manage their weed pressure with cattle.

Well the cattle are calling....
